About the Conference

Innovate Summit is a one-day event and a great opportunity for software developers to meet and learn from SolarWinds engineers and others in the monitoring, management and development community.
The 2017 Summit was held on December 14, 2017 in Brno, Czech Republic. Many joined us for an evening of talks from experts and fellow devs on topics within the cloud native ecosystem, ranging from containers to serverless. The talks were followed by a happy hour to network and have fun.

Lee Calcote is stewarding strategy and innovation across SolarWinds. In addition to this role, he advises a handful of startups and serves as a member of various industry bodies, including the CNCF, DMTF, and CIS. As a Cloud Native Ambassador and Docker Captain, Calcote is an organizer of technology conferences, an analyst, author, and speaker in the technology community. Calcote holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a master’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno, and retains a list of industry certifications.

Forged in the world of military training simulators, Fredrik is now architecturing cloud native SaaS products used by more than 700,000 people. He is always seeking more reliable and transparent systems that are easy to extend and operate. Working all over the place at Pingdom since 2015, Fredrik's focus going forward is on integrating SolarWinds' cloud portfolio.

Oli Wood spends most of his time helping to stabalise and improve systems deployed into cloud hosted environments having done so for the last 14 years or so for companies ranging from 2 person start ups to government systems (before they got good).

Karlo Zatylny

Integrating intelligent algorithms into software that yields immediate customer value is Karlo's top priority. Whether through data analytics or the integration of new technology, his aim is to architect software solutions that give the users an advantage in their daily jobs.

Mark Martin

Mark Martin is spearheading Papertrail’s effort to re-architect its storage backend optimizing for ease of analytics and blazing fast scans of logs. Mark is excited about making it easier to turn your high-cardinality data into valuable insight. Before Papertrail, Mark led the operations and engineering teams that built data analytics pipelines for numerous Fortune 500 companies.

Anton Naumovich
Senior Engineering Manager

Anton has been with IASO/LogicNow/SolarWinds for 7+ years. Now he's a Senior Engineering Manager on Backup product. Prior to that, he worked as an engineer for Microsoft (Hyper-V product). Anton is an organizer of a C++ Community – CoreHard.by.

Alex Ouzounis

Alex is a Cloud Native visionary at heart. He tends to get lost in conversations around TOC and highly autonomous performant teams. Alex has written data processing software for the European Space Agency's Gaia Mission, done CI/CD at small startups and worked hard to get highly autonomous performant teams using Cloud Native technologies in big US Nasdaq 100B businesses. Ouzounis holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a master’s degree in Software Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, a master’s degree in Distributed Scientific Computing from Edinburgh University, and retains a list of industry certifications.

Trevor Rosen

Trevor Rosen brings a diverse background to the Technology Strategy group, having worked as a developer or architect in industries as varied as advertising, politics, healthcare, network management, information security, and point-of-sale. He’s long been active in the open source community, running meet ups and contributing to a wide range of projects, most recently in Go. His current professional focus points lie in containerization, concurrency, IoT, cloud operations, big data, and low-level Linux subsystems.
